Checkout: Youtube Now Added Video Thumbnail Preview, Before Streaming Videos Online

YouTube are trying to develop and advance by introducing another enticing feature to users to enhance video performance on their platform.  YouTube introduces a Thumbnail Preview for desktop users.

This is to say you can now Preview video before playing it on YouTube but it works on certain browsers (E.g Opera and Chrome browsers). Although it is not yet available on mobile phones.

YouTube lack this preview feature for years now and has made many content owners to take advantage of youtube by uploading a video with different thumbnail which doesn't in anyway related to the video.

Therefore enticing viewers into clicking on their videos by having an exaggerated or even unrelated image in the thumbnail. With previews that now pull frames from random points in the video, users can see roughly what they are getting into before clicking.



This feature will really go a long way to prevent click baiters and fake video contents as well. According to YouTube's support They said;

"Currently, creators are not able to select the preview that is shown."

The current part states that YouTube might allow content creators to set their own previews for thumbnails later on.
